You can't, if the weapon doesn't have an inscription slot then you can't mod it with an inscription mod. All Tyria and Cantha weapons, shields, off hands are uninscripable.

Its because the axe is not inscribable, it should read inscription: *the inscription* if it is, otherwise it has a normal damage mod, and it can not be changed.

It's probably a pre-inscription Chaos Axe. Before Nightfall, mods like 15^50 were "inherent" on a weapon--ie, could not be added or removed--some are now inscribable. I guess you got the wrong kind. Sorry :/

But, you can customize it for yourself and use it. Makes a nice axe with a 20% always damage mod.

agree with ^^ if you were planning on using it with a 15%^50 and no planning on customizing it just customize it and it will do slightly better damage all around...its not worth trying to recup your money as it was a bad buy/bad sale.

They might add inscription slots to All weapons in the near future though, so you might want to hold on to it for awhile...

If ^ happened. GW economy will plunged to a new low.
Weapon will never happen. If it does, all the super rare skin will be 10k. Purple Crystalline sword 15 50 r9 anyone? |

^^ but what's keeping Anet from not doing it...
It would help out the new players, lower value of ridiculously overpriced skins, and make it easier to make a weapon you need instead of having to find one and hope for the best w/ your handy ID kit... Nothing much really.. But just keep economy intact, they would probably make some weapons Even Harder to get than they already are... The way I see it is, Either they keep, and expand it. Or they Drop it entirely, which doesn't make sense since they already included it.. I guess I could see them keeping it the way it is until the release of GW2, kinda hard to do though... |

It would kill their loyal fan base. That's why they don't do it. A.net needs to apease the new first time players, but at the same time they know a lot of their customers are repeat customers who buy every expansion.
